About Us

Franklin Hunger Heroes is an organization whose goal is to raise funds to provide food for the families of more than 200 Franklin Community children during school breaks.  We work with Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana and Franklin Community School Corporation to distribute food to children struggling with food insecurity.  During these breaks in the school year, children are most at risk of missing meals.

How you can help

Our 2017 Run Against Hunger will be held on September 9, 2017 at Franklin Community High School.  This is a great opportunity to help us raise awareness about the issue of hunger right here and to help raise funds for those in need.

Our Partners

Franklin Hunger Heroes works closely with Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana who make securing and distribution of food possible for this program.  We also work with Franklin Community Schools and their school counselors to help get food in the hands of the children that need it most.
